I'm back! Sorry for the inactivity, I've been lazy. Glenn's Gases is in the final stages of being moved to Minecraft 1.7.2. This update will also feature a few changes and bugfixes, which will be mentioned upon release.

While Glenn's Gases 1.4.4 will be available for Minecraft 1.7.2 and up, it will not be available for 1.6.2 or 1.6.4 unless this is heavily requested.

Future plans: Revising the interaction between the nether gases! I promise something far more interesting than glowstone shards.
